Holy Waters: a ceremonial sojourn
Holy Waters is a sojourn, is a ceremony of soil, water and story rooted in the lived experiences of rural southern folks in Mississippi. Devised as a dramaturgical road trip, the experience is designed to offer time and space for deep discovery, script development, embodiment and site exploration and ritual critical to the development of In The Name Of The Mother Tree.

Quickening at Inaugural Theatrical Jazz Conference
As part of Pillsbury House + Theatre’s Maker’s Series, Jupiter Performance Studio will bring Quickening: Ceremonies From In The Name Of The Mother Tree to the U of M’s Theatrical Jazz Aesthetic Conference. This inaugural conference hosted by the University of Minnesota and co-designed by PH+T runs June 13-15, 2024, and features workshops, panels, and performances creating connections across the field.

This second virtual session will focuses on theories and practices forwarding environmental justice and climate reparations through a womanist lens. This session, will be a time to build and design projects and receive collective feedback on each students approach and design. In The Name Of Development Intensive
Jupiter Performance Studio begins its 2024 season with a two week development intensive. Week two welcomed designers as we began to expand our vision into the theatre space that will house the world premiere of In The Name Of The Mother Tree. The week culminated in a table read of the most recent iteration of the script.
